Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be flexible or experienced to join?
You don’t need previous experience in mobility, yoga, or fitness — all exercises are scalable to your level.
How often should I attend to see results?
Attending once per week is enough to see steady progress. Two sessions per week typically lead to faster improvements. What matters most is showing up regularly.
Is mobility the same as yoga or pilates?
Mobility is joint-focused training designed to improve how your hips, shoulders, back, and other joints move. It focuses on long-term joint health and overall well-being. While pilates mainly emphasises strength and core work, and yoga combines movement with breath and a mindful approach, mobility concentrates on building range of motion that supports comfortable, pain-free movement.
Can I join if I have injury?
If you have an injury, please consult your doctor or physiotherapist before joining. In many cases, once the painful phase has passed and you’re cleared to move, mobility training can support recovery. Always get professional approval first and inform your coach before class.
Will the class be physically challenging?
Yes — mobility classes can be physically challenging, especially if your hips, shoulders, or spine are stiff. You’ll work actively in positions that may feel unfamiliar at first. With consistent training, even once per week, most people notice clear improvements within the first month. Don’t judge the experience by the first session alone — it takes a few classes to get into the rhythm.
How does the membership work?
We offer two main membership options: Starter (4 classes per month) and Regular (8 classes per month). Your membership renews monthly and can be cancelled any time before the next billing cycle (no long-term commitment). If you’re new, you can begin with our discounted Intro Month — simply leave your email on the Intro Month page to receive access to the offer. Not ready to commit? You’re welcome to book a single class first and see how it feels.
What class should I choose?
Choose Posture Mobility if you want to improve shoulder mobility, reduce neck and upper-back stiffness, and work on posture. Choose Hip Mobility if tight hips, hamstrings, or ankles limit your squats, walking, or lower-body comfort. For the most balanced results, many members combine Posture and Hip Mobility regularly - together they train your full body in an effective and structured way.
Where do the classes take place?
All classes are held inside Damoves Studio in Amsterdam Oud-West. Depending on the number of participants, we use either the small or the large studio space — which is why you may see different rooms in photos. Both spaces are fully equipped and designed for small-group training.
